Day Two – Family

God, I am grateful for my family and for Your presence in our lives. They are a source of love, support, grounding, and connection—shaping who I am in ways both seen and unseen. Family is one of the clearest ways I see God’s handiwork in my life. Whether through my relationship with my wife or the privilege of watching my daughters grow, I am continually reminded of God’s goodness.

"Family" can be a broad term, stretching to include friends, mentors, and the communities that surround us. I share this because, for you, "family" may take a different form, and I hope this reflection resonates in whatever way is meaningful to you.

I recognize that family relationships are not always easy—sometimes they are complicated, even painful. But today, I choose gratitude. I give thanks for the love we share, the lessons we learn, and even the challenges that shape us. Whether through shared laughter, deep conversations, or the simple comfort of knowing we are there for one another, my family is a gift.

Today, I am especially reflecting on the grounding presence of family. On days when my self-worth feels shaky, they remind me of who I am—that I matter, that they are counting on me, and that they believe in me. And in the same breath, they keep me humble—especially my daughters, who have a way of bringing both perspective and humor to life’s moments. I may even be ridiculed for being so openly grateful for my family, but that only reinforces how important they are to me.

Lord, help me to cherish and nurture these relationships. Teach me to extend grace where it is needed, to be present in both the ordinary and extraordinary moments, and to never take for granted the love that binds us together. Thank You for these people You have placed in my life. Amen.
