September 28, 2023: Boldly Testifying for Christ

Daily Scripture Reading: Acts 25:23-26:32

Boldly Testifying for Christ

In Acts 25:23-26:32, we find the Apostle Paul standing before kings and rulers, fearlessly testifying about his faith in Christ. Despite facing adversity, imprisonment, and potential harm, Paul seized the opportunity to share the gospel with those in authority. This passage reminds us of the importance of boldly proclaiming our faith in every circumstance.

Paul's commitment to sharing the gospel challenges us to examine our own lives. Are we willing to speak up for our faith when opportunities arise, even if it means facing opposition or ridicule? Are we willing to speak up for our faith in places that we may be intimidated? Paul’s example teaches us that God can use our testimonies to reach those in high places and those in our everyday lives.

As we reflect on this passage, let's pray for the courage and wisdom to share our faith effectively. May we, like Paul, seize every opportunity to share the hope we have in Christ, knowing that God can use our words to change lives. Let's also pray for those in authority, that they may encounter the transformative power of the gospel and make decisions that align with God's will.

Questions:

  1. In what situations or around what people do you feel uncomfortable to share your faith.

  2. In what situations or around what people do you feel comfortable to share your faith?

  3. What is a tangible step that you can take to share your faith with someone today? It might start with family, church friend or maybe even a stranger is easier.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the example of the Apostle Paul, who fearlessly testified about his faith in Christ. Give us the same courage and conviction to share our faith with those around us, regardless of the circumstances. Help us see opportunities to be your ambassadors in the world, knowing that you can use our testimonies to touch hearts and transform lives. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
